I am just squeaking this one in for the 101th Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and also submitting it for the CAS-ual Fridays 57 Challenge since the card uses vellum. The CAS-ual Friday Challenge is to use vellum or acetate. Here’s the Waltzingmouse sketch that my card is based on.
I needed a sympathy card so used the sketch to make one. I love Roses in Bloom and thought it was appropriate for a sympathy card. I wanted to the roses to seem soft and shimmer so they are done by embossing on vellum and then rubbing perfect pearls across the top. I’ve also added lots of pearls and a shimmer card base. Card details are at the bottom of the post.
Hope you are having a blissful day! Thanks for stopping by….

Your sympathy card is beautiful. I love the Roses in Bloom in vellum and the sprinkle of pearls. A beautiful way to show your love!
EEK vellum AND perfect pearls on those roses! That makes for one lovely combination, must remember this Kristie! Such soft colors and an elegant border that fit the sentiment perfectly.
You can really see the shimmer on the roses; they are beautiful. This is gorgeous and will be much appreciated too.
How pretty! Love your vellum flowers and that lacy border edge punch! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
