Here’s my card for the hop.    I seem to be into using onyx and slate cardstock for a card bases lately.  I wanted a card I could give to a girlfriend that wasn’t all flowery…my usual style.  This one fit the bill.  The funny thing is when I initially was laying this card out I was going to go for a more masculine card.  The guys in my life lose out again.  Why is it so hard to motivate yourself to create masculine cards?  But given that Father’s Day and my hubby’s birthday are both around the corner, I better start focusing on masculine themes.

Now on to the card…pretty simple card with no embellishments other than embossing and a banner.  The banner is raised near the edge of the card so that it appears to be rocking and rolling.  It’s hard to see, but the banner is a light pink to accentuate the pink glitter guitar.  The pink glitter EP is definitely fun to play with and loved how the black EP gave it a 3-D effect.

Card Details

  • Cardstock:  Slate, Shell (A Muse|Studio)
  • Stamps:   Rock Star (A Muse|Studio)
  • Ink:  Versamark
  • Accessories:  Black detail EP (Stampendous), Pink Glitter Finish EP (Zing)

Email me if you have any questions about my card.  If you are interested in A Muse|Studio products, you can email me or buy through my online store using the button in the upper right corner of the blog.  Have a great day!

Your next stop on the blog hop is Angela Schellenberg  http://gypsypaperie.blogspot.com/2011/06/as-blog-hop.html

  4. I used this set for a Father’s Day card in my (brand new) Etsy shop and sold 4 of the same card (to 4 different people) – my only 4 sales so far. Your take on it is so cool – it really is perfect for a more masculine card, isn’t it? I’m going to have to pull out my embossing stuff and add some more dimension to my cards now. Thanks for the inspiration!
