Card Inspired by Maile for Papetrey’s Anniversary and Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge

For day 2 of the Papertrey 8th Anniversary festivities, the challenge was to create a card inspired by Maile.  One of my favorite Maile cards is the one with Life is Beautiful die cut over a colored panel.  I used that sketch as my inspiration.  Since my oldest is about to turn 8, I used the layout to make a birthday card for him.  Hope he likes it!

I am also submitting this card for Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge of using bright colors.  This card is a nice bright change from the rain we have been seeing lately!

Hope you are having a great start to the week!  Supplies are listed below.
