2018 Card Design Superstar: Innovation Master and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Pop It Up

Here’s my card for My Favorite Things 2018 Card Design Superstar:  Innovation Master and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Pop It Up.  I made a slider card using the Volcano die set.  I really enjoyed coloring the volcano and lava.  I die-cut the images from white cardstock and then colored them with my copics and colored pencils.  I really like how the images turned out.  I did two sets so I could use the same imagery for the inside of the card.  I’ve got 3 photos of the card below with the first one with the card with the slider pull down; 2nd photo with the pull strip out showing the lava; and the 3rd photo showing inside with the volcano all done erupting.  The card front has the persimmon colored watercolor wash background and the inside has the blue watercolor  wash, returning to a calmer setting.  I used the Beautiful Blooms Die-namics and Watercolor wash patterned paper to create vegetation around the base of the volcano.   Supplies are listed below.   Happy crafting!

I  am combining this card for Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Any Thing Goes and My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #400 The MFT inspiration sketch is shown below.  I again used my washi tape to do the vertical bands for the card.  I opted for a winter card with snowflake washi tape for this card and Polar Pals stamp set from My Favorite Things.  Supplies are listed below.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #400, Simon Says Monday Challenge – Fall/Autumn, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes

I am combining several challenges for this card including  My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #400 , Simon Says Monday Challenge – Fall/Autumn, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes.  The MFT inspiration sketch is shown below.  I felt inspired to use washi tape for this sketch and ended up making two cards for the challenge.  This is the first card using several different Halloween washi tapes.  Love this Birdie Brown image from My Favorite Things.  She’s so cute in her Halloween hat and cape.  I used the sentiment in one of the washi tapes for the sentiment banner.  Supplies are listed below.

My Favorite Things Summer School Session 2 challenges – Ombre, Visual Triangle, and Monochromatic

I haven’t done this many orange and coral cards in my life.  Seems I’ve developed a new color favorite.  This card combines a bunch of challenges including My Favorite Things Summer School Session 2 challenges – Ombre, Monochromatic, and Visual Triangle.   I had fun playing with stamps and dies from My Favorite Things Soda Pop.  I tilted the bottles together as a couple, added adhesive drops for some fizzy bubbles, and used a dry watercolor brush technique to create the ombre background.  Happy crafting!  Supplies listed below.
