Papertrey’s Celebrating the Past, Present, and Future: 2010

For the past few days, Papertrey has been celebrating their 10th anniversary by reviewing some of their favorite stamps for each year.  2010 was a great year of Papertrey stamps and some of my favorite stamp sets were part of the Year in Flowers series.  So pretty!  I decided to keep my card pretty simple so that the beautiful artwork of the gladiolus image could really stand out.  The supplies are listed below.  Happy blog hopping!

World Card Day Card – Creating a Background, Take 2

Winnie & Walter has a challenge to create a stamped background for a card to celebrate World Card Day.  Here’s the 2nd card….definitely like the previous one better but you can be the judge.  TI opted to add use gold paint so I could use them both for this challenge and the W&W’s gold challenge too.  And while we are at it, I am also submitting it for Simon Says Stamp WCD challenge.  Here is the first one, a background of gold sunflowers using paint.  Happy crafting!  Supplies are listed below.

Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge – Pastels

Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge is to use pastels.  That is a perfect challenge to create an Easter card.  So that’s exactly what I did.  But right now in the Pacific Northwest we are having some rather cold days after having a very mild winter.  I know I have nothing to complain about since I never saw a speck of snow this winter in my neck of the woods.  But to the point, the cooler day made me think of silvery branches and some pretty apple blossoms for an easter card.  Not sure that my writing is making any sense but my mind is a bit off after a long week of longer than normal work days, coping with kids adjusting back to school after spring break, and I’m getting old.  Okay….to the card.  I used Martha Stewart  pearl paint to stamp the branches and blooms stamp and accented the blooms with some rhinestones.  Then painted  the edges of the card with some more white paint.  Hope you and your family and friends have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Simon Says Ice Inspiration Challenge Card 5

Okay….I think I’m about snowflaked out.  But it was so fun to play with the stamps, dies, and punches for the Simon Says Ice Inspiration Challenge.  This one goes back to my favorite card making technique…stamping.  I used my background stamp along with Papertrey’s fillable frames set.  Card supplies are listed at the bottom.  Hope you’re have a wonderful day!

CASE Study Challenge #162

I am participating in the CASE Study Challenge #162.  The inspiration is a card from Elan Roussakis that has a great woodsy background.  It inspired me to make this Halloween card.  I love the glittery spider and have used this sticker on lots of cards.  ETA:  I’m also submitting this to the Handmade Cards Week: The Sticker and Tape Challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog since it includes that fabulous spider sticker!

Papertrey Ink 2013 Stamp-A-Faire: Breakfast Bake & Take

This is actually one of the last cards I did since I knew it wouldn’t take much time.  I bought some new Silks paint and wanted to try them out on this challenge.  I used the Framed Out heart stamp set since the background text is love word definitions.
