Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge – Icicle

One more card for today….I was inspired by the inspiration photo for the current Curtain Call Challenge – Icicle and the long-lasting snow we have outside our door.

I was inspired by the blues and silvers and tree branch in the inspiration photo and made the following card.  I ended up with 2 photos of it since the background shows up so much better in the 2nd photo but the trees shimmer more like they do in real life in the first photo.  Love the sparkly embossing powder!  I sponged the background to get the ombre look and then misted it with perfect pearls to get some texture in the sky.  Also made a more complicated banner with double stacking it. Happy crafting!  Supplies are listed below.

  • Cardstock: Enchanted Evening (Papertrey); Blueberry Sky (Papertrey); White (Georgia Pacific)
  • Ink: Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, Stormy Sky, Broken China, Tumbled Glass distress inks (Ranger); Versamark
  • Stamps: Through the Trees (Papertrey Ink); In the Meadow (Papertrey)
  • Accessories: Double-Ended Banner die (Papertrey); Mister (Ranger); Tinsel embossing powder (Sparkle n Sprinkle); Silver embossing powder (Ranger); perfect pearls (Ranger)

Curtain Call – Pretty Pumpkins Challenge, Card 2

Since I already had my pumpkin dies out, I decided to do one more card for Curtain Call’s Pretty Pumpkin challenge.    I kept it simple by distressing each pumpkin section since the pattern paper already gives most of the visual interest.  I added woodgrain stamping to the pumpkin stem to make it look more realistic.  Hope you like it!  Supplies are listed below.

  • Cardstock: Kraft (Papertrey Ink); Orange Zest (Papertrey Ink); New Leaf (Papertrey Ink); Orange Zest Pattern Pack (Papertrey)
  • Ink: Tea Dye Duo (Papertrey); Chocolate Chip (Stampin Up); New Leaf (Papertrey)
  • Accessories:  Pumpkin Collection Shape Up dies (Papertrey); Pumpkin Sections Shape Up dies (Papertrey); twine; Double-Ended Banner die (Papertrey)

Papertrey Ink’s Blue Sky Challenge

Papertrey Ink’s 8th Anniversary has been going on for the last week and this is the last card I am submitting for it.  This card is for PTI’s Blue Sky Challenge.  The challenge is to create a blue ombre background.  I made an ombre background using tim holtz distress inks and resist cardstock.  I made two cards with 2 different resist patterns.  The first one is for my son’s birthday.  I made one earlier this week but I think this one is more his style.  The second one was another struggle but I hate dumping a card so I finished it.  Hope you are having a great weekend!  Supplies are listed below.
