Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge – Young at Heart and Curtain Call: XOXO

I knew exactly what I wanted to make for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge – Young at Heart and Curtain Call Challenge: XOXO.  I bought this die thinking that I would use it to make my boys Valentine’s cards.  My boys are 8 and 9 and they LOVE Minecraft (computer and video game).  The shape of the die makes the perfect pixelated heart. And if you’ve never seen Minecraft….it has old style block style of graphics.  Neat and Tangled pixelated heart die is perfect for this!  And the coolest thing is that it makes a die cut that allows you to create a heart that pops up from the inside of the card.  Can you tell I’m excited about this card.  I need to make another one so each boy has a card but I wanted to post this one.  The color choices of green and pink are a bit strange but I picked up the pink from the inspiration photo and needed green to match the Minecraft background.  The Minecraft terrain has this kind of blocky green background that I tried to imitate.   The card supplies are listed below.  Happy blog hopping!

Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge – H is for, Card 2

Well it isn’t exactly a card, but how about a tag for Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge this week, H is for (hearts in my case).  I love this border die from memory box…it’s a classic.  This would work well for a card too, but I was needing a Valentine tag to some goodie bags. Supplies are listed below.  Happy crafting!

Papertrey 7th Anniversary – Day 4 Challenge, Card 14

Papertrey’s Day 4 Challenge for their 7th Anniversary is to create 3 by 4 monthly moments trading cards.  I loved this challenge!  It seemed easy to create on a 3 by 4 card and not feel like I had a lot of white space to stress over.  I kept the cards simple and focused on Valentines.  That way the trading cards can also be used for my boys valentines cards.  They seemed to really like them too.  So knowing that the cards would end up with kindergarteners and 1st graders, I kept it focused on valentines rather than love.  I plan on stamping To and From on the back to finish them up.  Supplies are listed below.  Happy crafting!
