Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes, Simon Says Monday Challenge – Happy Birthday, and Altenew’s August Inspiration Challenge

I made a couple of cards for Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes, Simon Says Monday Challenge – Happy Birthday and Altenew’s August Inspiration Challenge.  Here’s the inspiration photo for Altenew’s August challenge….just love the colors.

For my first card, I used my favorite floral cover plates.  Love the dimension that they give.  I paired the image with grey cardstock.  I kept the card layout simple since the dimensional images are too pretty to distract from.

My second card uses the left-over die cuts from the first card.  I used my colored pencils to add some depth to the interior portion of the petals.  It’s hard to see it in the photo, but I added some sprinkles of perfect pearls for added interest.

And while I was on a roll, how about one more pink floral card?  My last card uses Altenew’s Peony Dream 3D dies.  I wanted to have more control over the color variations for my card so I made my own color palette using my Copic markers.  One of my favorite parts of this card is the grey leaves and how they contract with the bright pink flower.

I made three cards for these two challenges: Altenew’s 2018 Year In Review Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.  For my third card I again used the February 2018 inspiration photo with the darker pink, lighter pink, and green colors.  I used the same Altenew floral dies and changed up the colors of the flowers, background, and sentiment.  For this card, I decided to watercolor a range of pink colors on some watercolor paper to create the flower and then used paint swatches from home depot for the leaves.  I think this one is my favorite of the three cards.  Card supplies are listed below.  Hope you are getting some quality time with your family and friends over the holiday season!

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes and Altenew 2018 Year In Review Challenge, Card 1

I made three cards for these two challenges: Altenew’s 2018 Year In Review Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.  I’m using the February inspiration photo with the darker pink, lighter pink, and green colors.  I used the same Altenew floral dies and changed up the colors of the flowers, background, and sentiment.  For this card, I used paint swatches from home depot.  I love the slightly glossy finish you have using paint swatches.  Kind of a fun way to change things up.  But I will note that stamping on the paint swatches is tricky.  Since it is such a slick surface, it smears easily.  Card supplies are listed below.  Hope you are getting some quality time with your family and friends over the holiday season!

Altenew September Inspiration Challenge, Simon Says Monday and Wednesday Challenges – Stamp On It

Hope you are having a good weekend!  I made a couple of cards this morning.  My first one is for a couple of challenges:  Altenew September Inspiration Challenge, Simon Says Monday – Stamp On It, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenges – Stamp On It.  Can you tell that I really like Altenew’s Floral cover dies?  It makes the pretties floral card.  I kept the stamping simple but elegant to match the card with the gold embossed sentiment on vellum.  Supplies are listed below.

This is the second card I made for this month’s Altenew August 2018 Inspiration Challenge and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Splatters and Sprinkles.  I watercolored some images from Altenew’s Beautiful Day stamp set.  I also added some gold splatters for more visual interest because what card doesn’t need some sprinkles of gold?    I also added some blue rhinestones since I couldn’t make it work with the flowers I watercolored.  It just looked too busy for such a small space.  Supplies are listed below.  Happy crafting!

I made 2 more cards for this month’s Altenew August 2018 Inspiration Challenge and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Splatters and Sprinkles.  I watercolored some images from Altenew’s Beautiful Day stamp set.  I was able to make two cards from the images.  This is my first card.   I added the woodgrain embossed panel since the card looked too plain without having some texture in the background.  I also added some gold splatters for more visual interest because what card doesn’t need some sprinkles of gold?  Supplies are listed below.  Happy crafting!

Altenew Inspiration August 2018 Challenge
