Simon Says Monday Challenge – Starry Night

I made two Christmas cards for Simon Says Monday Challenge – Starry Night.  I’ve been wanting to use the pretty winter sky die from Simon Says Stamp along with the Penny Black snowman die.  You can’t tell from the photos but both cards have glitter paper sparkling through the starry sky.  I made the first card, focusing on the pretty, sparkly sky.  The second card focuses on the adorable snowman.  Supplies are listed below.  Happy crafting!.

Papertrey’s 11th Anniversary Day 8 Color Challenge

Today’s challenge for Papertrey’s 11th Anniversary is to use one of the color swatches to make a project.  If you looked at my last 2 cards, you could probably guessed which color swatch I picked.  I picked the one with aqua mist, tropical teal, green parakeet, winter wisteria and royal velvet.  I decided to do a bit of watercoloring using my Papertrey inks.  I ended up thinking the colors were too vibrant so created a front panel from vellum to soften the look.  Hope your week is starting off well!  Supplies are listed below.

Pretty Pink Posh’s Watercolor Blog Hop – Card 2

Hope everyone is having a great Friday!  I am joining in on Pretty Pink Posh’s Watercolor Blog Hop.  Talk about inspiration!  Lots of lovely cards to look at on the blog hop.  Amazing work!  If you want to check it out too just click on the link above to get to it.

Here is my 2nd card for the hop.    For this and the previous card, I used a die to make an impression and then watercolored the image using the outline provided.  I got a bit smarter for this one and didn’t impress the die as hard into the cardstock (see previous post to see the difference).  It worked much better.  Then to make the bouquet impression disappear I impressed the cardstock with my linen plate and it looks like you watercolored this by scratch.  Supplies are listed below.  Have a great weekend and happy crafting!  Enjoy the blog hop!

Here is my card for the hop.  I will likely be doing a few more since I love watercolor cards.  For this card I used a die to make an impression and then watercolored the image using the outline provided.  The stems were a bit tough and not sure if I would do this method exactly the same way next time.  Supplies are listed below.  Have a great weekend and happy crafting!  Enjoy the blog hop!
