This rainbow inspiration also works really well for the rainbow challenge at Embellish Magazine. There are lots of lovely cards on from this challenge too!
So I love, I mean really LOVE!!, ribbon. I have more ribbon than any one should have and I keep buying more. So when I saw the inspiration photo, I thought ribbon and what a good way to use some of it. Since I wanted the ribbons to shine, I kept it clean and simple. I ended up making 2 cards since my first attempt looked too wide (I got carried away with showing off the ribbon) to balance out with the sentiment. The first photo is the improved version with the skinny ribbon banner. The second photo shows the skinny ribbon banner shining in the sun. And the final photo is the card with the wider ribbon banner and smaller sentiment. The supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.
These ribbons in gorgeous colors make me happy and will hopefully make the recipient happy too! Have a great weekend!
