Moxie Fab’s Handmade Cards Week: The Ready-Made Embellishments Challenge

I seem to be a great buyer of embellishments but am working on using up some of my stash.  So here’s one of several cards I did for my brother and sister-in-law.  They love sending out Halloween cards so I made up a batch for them.  I used up some of these great Halloween embellishments thinking that it would make my card making go faster….not always did it work out that way but I love that they pack a big punch.  The black glittered die cuts are from K & Co. set that my sweet friend Victoria gave me.

The inside of this card has a sentiment that reads “If the broom fits…fly it”.  Hopefully the recipient will have a good sense of humor and get a chuckle from it.

And last but not least….

Moxie Fab World’s Handmade Cards Week: The General Craft Supplies Challenge

So just as Cath was saying in her blog post Handmade Cards Week: The General Craft Supplies Challenge, I saw these coasters in the Martha Stewart craft section and had to have them.  They looked like a delightful background for birthday cards….a burst of confetti on the card.  I wish I could say that I was as excited about how my card turned out.  I think I will have to try another way to use them on a card.  But here is my first attempt.

CASE Study Challenge #162

I am participating in the CASE Study Challenge #162.  The inspiration is a card from Elan Roussakis that has a great woodsy background.  It inspired me to make this Halloween card.  I love the glittery spider and have used this sticker on lots of cards.  ETA:  I’m also submitting this to the Handmade Cards Week: The Sticker and Tape Challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog since it includes that fabulous spider sticker!

Papertrey Ink 2013 Stamp-A-Faire: Mixing Mists to Match

I must think the holidays are just around the corner since I had holiday cards on the brain yesterday and today.  Here’s another two… one using a mask to create the sentiment and then a second one using the mask to create the sentiment is shown in the take 2 post here.

Papertrey Ink 2013 Stamp-A-Faire: Gallon: Quart: Pint

Love this Stamp-A-Faire challenge. It was the easiest for me to do and took at least half of the time any of the other cards took.  Love the combo of spring moss, sweet blush, and aqua mist!  And who doesn’t love vintage ornaments?  Love this Papertrey Ink stamp set.  It was one of the first stamp sets I ever purchased from Papertrey.

Papertrey Ink 2013 Stamp-A-Faire: Custom Accents from the Oven

Now what could go wrong…start with a great idea, figure if kids can do this than it should be a breeze, tried embossing the image in the oven, and what a disaster.  I think this took 5 attempts and it got the point that I didn’t care if it looked like a disaster…. it just needed to get done.  So here it is.

I’ve edited this post to add that I am also including this card for the Holiday Tag Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  I love seeing all the lovely holiday cards submitted to the challenge!  Click the link and you can see them too.

Papertrey Ink 2013 Stamp-A-Faire: Sweet Sugar Coated Embellishments

Here’s my first card for Stamp-A-Faire that Papertrey Ink put on this weekend.  This technique was an easy one since I am a glitter girl at heart…..as my abundant supply of glitter can attest to.  And I just love this Shape Up Snowman!  It makes the cutest cards or tags!

I put glitter around the edges of the snowman using the same method that Dawn used in her video.  With so many cards to get loaded tonight I am skipping the usual supply list so if you have any questions, just leave me a comment and I’ll be happy to respond.

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: A Little Romance

Here’s another card for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.  I am still stuck on the theme of snowflakes, aqua and white when I look at this image.  I love the softness of the embroidery.

A Little Romance

Here’s my card….it has a little more going on than my previous card.  I added some sparkle to the snowflakes and double stamped the sentiment to give it some dimension.  Hope you’re having a great Sunday!

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger

I have been absent from my blog for a long time since wordpress and I were not communicating well together.    I am hoping to be more active again on my blog and I have lots of cards to share.  So to start off, I have 1 card for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.  I love the trigger since I love all things aqua and white.

A Little Romance

So I was inspired by the lace embroidery.  It makes me think of snowflakes.  So the first card has a soft, distressed background of snowflakes.
