Simon Says Mama Elephant Stamptember and Wednesday Challenges

I have two cards for Simon Says Stamptember Challenge using Mama Elephant products and Wednesday Challenge – Bling It On.  I am a cat lover and have the Mama Elephant Stamptember set sitting in my Simon Says cart right now.  Card supplies are listed at the bottom.

I wanted the sentiment stamp to stand out on my first card so kept the colors and imagery pretty simple so it would frame the happy birthday sentiment.  I have a fondness for gold embossing and used it on all of the stamped images and afterward watercolored the flowers and background.

On my second card, I wanted to use one of my earliest Mama Elephant stamp set.  I opted for Copic coloring on this one.  My bling on the card was the clear embossing paste that I used to the raindrop background.  It’s really subtle but it adds texture to the card.

Papertrey’s February Blog Hop

Papertrey’s February Blog Hop uses a great Easter inspired photo with a series of trays of grass and Easter eggs.  It inspired me to create these two cards, using a grass die and the cute bunny image from Polka Dot Parade #1.  I also decided to incorporate Papertrey’s Make It Monday Challenge of Framing Sentiments & Images.  I prefer the first card since it’s got more colors incorporated into the card and offset image.  How about you?  Hope you’re enjoying everyone’s fabulous cards.  Happy crafting!
